I almost never leave comments, however I browsed a few remarks here Cashing in on history: Moundville brings money
to west Alabama, but price is too high for Oxford | Speer Family and Descendants in America.
I actually do have some questions for you if you do not mind.
Is it just me or do some of these responses come across like they are coming from brain dead visitors?
:-P And, if you are posting at other social sites,
I would like to keep up with everything fresh you have to
post. Would you make a list of every one of your public
pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

I am not a member of a tribe; but am researching possible Creek/Cherokee ancestors. There three state-recognized Cherokee tribes in Alabama. Two are in the central/North-central regions, the other is near Montgomery/Washington Counties.
I have not been able to keep up with these groups' websites (last I checked all were 'down'); if I find any current information I will post it here, soon.
I have never heard of "Indian Creek" or "Indian Joe Creek"...what area of Alabama is/was it located?
I have grown up in central, and north-central Alabama. But still have lot to learn about tracing Native American ancestry. Any tips or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Weavercat, is your group still around? Tried to do a google search but haven't found you yet. Have relatives who lived in your area of Alabama, who were Cherokee. I think it was on Indian Creek, or Indian Joe Creek.

Anyway, please let me know. Thank you. Teresa

Betty:

The items/errors you have found can be amended/corrected in this "Blog" -- we (Dave and I) have to be out of town for the day, Sunday. I will get to the update/corrections as soon as I can when we return. I will also correct these items in my family tree files/program as time allows.
Checking everything in research notes can be overwhelming, unless someone knows the family members for the information.
Thank you, for the help. I looking forward to hearing from again, soon.
